I am a Human Resources Professional and Business Owner with over twenty years of experience in Accounting, Recruiting, Benefits, Employee Relations, and Business Partnership. I'm a self-motivated, life-long learner who enjoys working independently, as well as leading teams, with excellent communication and problem solving skills. I'm a highly-effective strategic thinker with superb implementation and project management skills.
In my past Human Resources roles, I provided human resources consultant services for global employees in all major HR disciplines including employee relations, recruitment, compensation/ salary administration, benefits, leaves of absences, performance management/leadership development and policy interpretation. I supported two global divisions of approximately 1,500 employees. Currently, I lead an HR team to support an organization of 200 employees, who are merging from three separate entities. Major initiatives have included benefits consolidation, 401(k) conversion, HRIS and ATS implementations, benefits attestation and renewals, handbook and policy creation, establishment of a performance management process, creation of a job library and career framework, and the establishment of a compensation philosophy and pay structures.
In addition to my love of Human Resources, I started my business, The Doodling Bug® in 2003 from my home. In 2010, The Doodling Bug® opened in a permanent space at the
Raleigh Flea Market at North Carolina State Fairgrounds. After five years at the Raleigh Flea Market, I opened a brick and mortar location in Historic Downtown Apex, North Carolina. The Doodling
